strange feelings
I've been so overwhelmed over the past few days, with all the schooling and traveling and disasters occurring all over the world. I'm not particularly one who would actually write about how I personally feel about the events that occur in the world, and how it would affect me as an individual. The picture above was taken a few months ago when i was in tokyo japan, and it still shocks me that something terrible had happened at that very spot i once stood in not too long ago.
A few days ago I was reading one of my best friend's tumblr, and she mentioned something that I could not disagree with. We lack the empathy to feel and understand fully about what had happened. We see it everywhere, in the papers, on the tv, on the internet, but we are still able to leave the door and live our routined lives just like the way we always do. Sure we discuss it with our friends and family, but all we do is sympathize and pray that it will never happen to us.
It wasn't until yesterday when I was sitting around alone in a cafe in LA, and got to reading the news and whatnot while sipping coffee that I actually felt empathy. This is not a made up story, that so many people had suffered, regardless of how bad or good each individual is. I don't even think its about the numbers or the level of how disastrous it was, the point was that people died, and it is horrifying.
I feel truly and awfully lucky to have at least visited the beautiful Japan either ways. The wonderful people, the most amazing places, and the crazy crazy good food. It still is a little weird for me that I can tell people that i recently went to tokyo and say it was amazing, then thinking back and wondering how it actually is right now. In any case, I feel its good to speak up and support not only Japan, but pray for the entire world as well. But I'm adamant that Japan will rise up to this.

Pattern Blocking ?
Arrived in san francisco only a few days ago, and I am loving the weather! They say it was snowing but it's not that bad after all! I decided to go pattern blocking because I was somehow inspired by all the color blocking at the fall '11 milan fashion week, and wanted to experiment with something different. My blogging commitment is obviously falling apart, but I'm working on it I promise!

This is it.
This is it because of a couple of reasons. First of all, this was the last theme park for february. I need a break from all the roller coasters! This was also the final few days I spent in not-so-sunny singapore. This is also it because I'm totally aware of my seriously long hair! I spent my last days in singapore with my closest girlfriends, and I've never felt so emotional and exhausted from all the fun we squeezed into the 3 days. I promise to post more pictures soon, but for now enjoy my sitting around the theme park pictures!

Now back in singapore, and I'm super stoked about my new valentines day purchase! The one and only arty ring by YSL. Also one of my new buys is my slytherin scarf I bought from the wizarding world of harry potter. Who says you can't wear a souvenir out?

Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Like I said in my previous post, there was one more stop I had to make before leaving florida. That, of course, would be the wizarding world of harry potter! In fact, its almost like this entire trip, I had only anticipated for this day, and truly, it was amazing. As a theme park and roller coaster junkie, the forbidden journey ride was mind blowing, and there isn't really a word that can describe the experience. Sampling the butterbeer was another fun thing I had to do, and don't worry its not alcoholic, but it was quite embarrassing when strangers had to point out that i had a butterscotch mustache.
In retrospect, I was so excited about the day that i didn't even care what I wore. And now I'm apologizing that you have to see me wear the same damned cardigan every single day. In honesty, I seriously was not prepared for the weather. I just assumed that I could handle it, but obviously I couldn't! Its my last day in Florida now, and i'd be off to sunny Singapore. And for now, I'm gonna see what's up at New York Fashion Week!

Hollywood baby
The last day I spent in disney, I went to disney's hollywood studios. It was pretty fun and i finally reconnected with my love for musicals and broadway. My days in florida are coming to an end, but i still have 1 last stop before i head back to singapore.
PS. yes i am quite aware of my enormous pimple.
